Workshop 02 / loadout

Who carries what, and who remembers it.

A printable co-op loadout plan for one to four players. Roles are a player-made convention, not an in-game class system.

A planning template, not an official class system

Arctic Drive does not use fixed classes. These roles are a way to divide the chores that the game actually asks for: driving, repairing, scavenging, supply planning and revival. Quantities are deliberately not calculated because the game’ consumption rates are not published.

This checklist is a planning aid based on confirmed systems. It is not an official item list, and it does not calculate quantities. The in-game bench, HUD and developer patch notes are the authority.

How to use the planner

  1. Set the player count. The planner shows one crew row per player and hides the rest.
  2. Assign roles. Driver, Mechanic, Scavenger and Quartermaster are player-made responsibilities, not in-game classes. For two players, combine roles; for solo, you own them all.
  3. Write down the host and save routine. Multiplayer saves are stored by the host. The group should know who that is and when the session will stop.
  4. Check the list before departure. Critical items are marked in red. The progress panel tells you how many remain unchecked.
  5. Add your own quantities in the notes. The game does not publish consumption rates, so the planner does not pretend to know how many liters or meals you need.
  6. Print or save. The checklist is stored locally in your browser. A printed copy does not need a battery.

A sensible packing order

Load the car in layers: survival first, repair second, comfort third. The items you need in an emergency should be accessible without unpacking the trailer.

  • On your person: light, water, food, a small medical item and a way to call for help.
  • In the cab: fuel plan, repair kit, map substitute (landmarks/notes), ice scraper and a spare light.
  • In the bed / trailer: cargo boxes, spare parts, base modules, food and water storage.
  • At the base: things you do not need on the road, kept dry and secured against wind.

Roles in one paragraph each

  • Driver: owns speed, route, reversing and trailer placement. Never the only person watching fuel and temperature.
  • Mechanic: owns the engine panel, radiator, oil, battery, tires and repair kits. Fixes the warning before it becomes a failure.
  • Scavenger: owns the POI search, cargo sorting and the “do we need this?” question. Weight is a cost.
  • Quartermaster: owns the fuel margin, food and water, weather window, revival kits and the return plan. The person who says “we are turning around.”

What the planner does not know

  • How much fuel, food or water a run consumes per player.
  • How difficulty and loot scale with player count beyond the confirmed starting-loot adjustment.
  • Whether every supply is shared or instanced.
  • The exact revive time and kit consumption rules.
  • Whether crossplay between Steam and Xbox will be supported.
