Survey ledger / locations & POIs
A field guide to places that move.
The world is procedural, so a fixed map would be a lie. This table indexes the location types, confirmed landmarks and dynamic events you can actually plan for.

No fixed map
Learn the types, not the coordinates.
Arctic Drive generates a fresh stretch of frozen wilderness each run. Routes and points of interest are randomized. The Steam description frames the trip as a long road with no map. A static map with coordinates would be wrong for most players on most runs.
What transfers between runs is the decision pattern: what a cabin, gas station, wreck or generator site can offer, and how to approach it when the weather is turning.

The developer, publisher or store page states it directly.
It appears in an official screenshot or pre-launch build. The value may change.
It is on the roadmap or in an Early Access statement, not necessarily in the current build.
We found no primary source. Treat it as unknown, not as a fact.

Filter by location type
| Place / POI | Type | What to expect | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
The starting cabin and garageConfirmed | Starting area | The scenario begins in a cold cabin with a broken car, scattered parts and almost no food. Field noteThe official store description sets the opening in a cabin: no food, a half-empty soda in the fridge, and a beaten-up car in the garage with its parts lying around. The demo adds a guided scenario and a fenced starting area so players do not miss the road. Demo v0.18.14 added revival kits to the starting garage for 2–4 player groups and fixed a car-door spawn issue there. | |
Martin's AutoObserved | Service station | A garage sign visible in an official screenshot; its exact role is not documented. Field noteAn official screenshot shows a brown car parked outside a building with a “Martin’s Auto” sign at dusk. The building looks like a garage or service station, but the developers have not published a POI description, loot table or map role. We list it as an observed landmark, not a guaranteed shop. | |
Abandoned FactoryConfirmed | Industrial | A beta POI with a new type of challenge and alternate layouts. Field noteThe closed-beta update added an Abandoned Factory POI “featuring a completely new type of challenge.” The same update added POI variations with different loot, extra crafting stations, new exploration routes and small parkour challenges. No fixed layout exists because the world is procedurally generated. | |
Gas stations and roadside stopsConfirmed | Service station | Potential fuel, shelter and supplies — but not a guaranteed safe stop. Field noteThe Steam description says an odd cabin or gas station might give you more fuel, an empty box to recycle, or nothing but safety from a blizzard. The procedural world randomizes routes and points of interest each run, so a stop that was rich on one trip may be stripped or dangerous on the next. | |
Cabins, shacks and sheltersConfirmed | Shelter | Places to get out of the wind, warm up and search for supplies. Field noteCabins and shacks are confirmed locations for loot and storm shelter. The publisher’s key points mention exploring wrecks, shacks and points of interest. A cabin interior appears in the official screenshot with a table, a photo, dog food and a note reading “BRIAN GONE?” — part of the scenario’s story setup. | |
Wrecks and abandoned vehiclesConfirmed | Wreck | A source of car parts, fuel and scrap; also a warning about the road. Field noteThe press kit lists wrecks as explorable points of interest. The closed-beta update reduced the amount of fuel found in abandoned vehicles and added more useful vehicle parts elsewhere. Wrecks are physical scenes: parts must be removed, carried and loaded, and the surrounding road may be hazardous. | |
Generator, recycler and crafting sitesConfirmed | Industrial | Powered stations that turn salvage into upgrades. Field noteThe Steam description promises that around the next hill you might find a working generator with a recycler and crafting bench. Crafting benches and recyclers require generator power, and generators consume fuel. These sites are worth marking mentally, but the procedural world means their locations change. | |
Biomes and changing roadsConfirmed | Wilderness | Forest, open ground and narrowing roads; the landscape changes with distance. Field noteA July 2026 update added biomes with new vegetation, rocks, tree stumps, and road widths that change by biome. The developer says the world changes with sometimes radically different landscapes, and biome difficulty varies with kilometers driven. New biomes are also listed for Early Access and post-launch updates. No complete biome list has been published. | |
Air dropsConfirmed | Dynamic event | A flare-gun call brings supplies — if the drop lands somewhere usable. Field noteAir drops are a confirmed off-road event and the Flare Gun’s advertised function. Demo v0.19.2 made drops less likely to land upside down. The contents, number of flares and whether a drop can be called in every mode are not fully documented. | |
Tornado pathsConfirmed | Dynamic event | Announced in November 2026: a weather event that can throw players and cargo. Field noteThe developer announced tornadoes on November 4, 2026, warning players to outrun or hide from them or risk ragdolling through the air, losing the truck, or dropping collected items. The post does not confirm whether tornadoes are in the current demo or only the Early Access build. Treat them as a launch-window hazard until the build is playable. |
