The publisher itself positions Arctic Drive alongside The Long Drive, Drive Beyond Horizons, My Summer Car and Mon Bazou. That is a useful starting point, but “similar” can mean very different things: a desert road trip, a Finnish car-assembly sim, a Quebec life sim, or a co-op survival drive through the snow.

This is a positioning guide, not a review score. Competitor features change; check each store page before buying. We have linked them below.

What Arctic Drive does differently

Arctic Drive’s specific combination is:

  • One to four player online co-op in the same survival world.
  • A car as the lifeline, with physics-based damage, part swapping and mobile-base trailers.
  • A cold survival clock: hunger, thirst and body temperature, not just fuel.
  • A procedurally generated Arctic with randomized routes and points of interest.
  • A pre-launch Early Access release on November 25, 2026, with an evolving feature set.

If you want a finished, content-complete game today, none of the games below is a perfect substitute. If you want the specific itch of “keep a terrible car alive in a hostile landscape,” several are worth your time.

The Long Drive

Shared itch: a first-person, procedurally generated road trip with vehicle maintenance, scavenging and a strong sense of isolation. The desert setting and the “what is over the next hill?” pacing are the closest structural match to Arctic Drive’s road loop.

Biggest difference: Arctic Drive is built around a cold-survival clock and one-to-four player online co-op. The Long Drive is a different climate, a different tone and a different feature set. If you want the Arctic specifically, The Long Drive will not replace it.

Drive Beyond Horizons

Shared itch: an open, procedurally generated driving-survival game with vehicle customization, resource gathering and unpredictable events. It supports solo or up to four players, which makes it the closest available co-op alternative on this list.

Biggest difference: Drive Beyond Horizons is already available in Early Access and has its own setting and progression. Arctic Drive adds the cold-temperature layer, the trailer/RV mobile-base loop and its specific vehicle models. If you need a four-player driving-survival game right now, this is the closest option to test.

My Summer Car

Shared itch: a deeply mechanical relationship with a car. Assembling, tuning and repairing a vehicle is the point, not a side activity. If the engine panel in Arctic Drive looks appealing, My Summer Car will feel like a natural extreme.

Biggest difference: My Summer Car is a Finnish summer car-building sim with its own permadeath and life-sim structure. It is not a co-op Arctic survival game, and the car is a project rather than a lifeline against a hostile climate.

Mon Bazou

Shared itch: build, repair and drive a car while managing a small survival/life loop. It is lighter and more playful than Arctic Drive, with a strong “make the car yours” focus.

Biggest difference: Mon Bazou is a Quebec car-life sim, not a frozen co-op expedition. If you want the fantasy of a beater car with personality, it is a good palate cleanser; if you want temperature management and a trailer base, it is not a substitute.

SnowRunner

Shared itch: heavy vehicles, difficult terrain and the satisfaction of getting a loaded rig through a road that does not want you there. SnowRunner is the mainstream reference for “truck vs. environment.”

Biggest difference: SnowRunner is mission-based off-road hauling with a strong terrain-physics focus. It does not have Arctic Drive’s hunger, thirst, body-temperature or on-foot survival loop. It is also a more established, content-complete game, which may be exactly what you want while waiting.
